- In 38 of the state’s districts, wheat and maize have been elevated to Panchayat status. In addition, gramme, lentil, tur, rye, mustard, cane, onion, and potato have all received district-level notifications.
- If there is loss of gram crop then 17 districts of the state will be compensated, if there is loss on lentil crop then 35 districts will be compensated,

- If the loss is less than 20%, the compensation rate under the Bihar State Crop Assistance Scheme is 7500 per hectare. This programme allows each farmer to participate on a maximum of 2 hectares. If the loss exceeds 20%, compensation is given at the rate of $ 10,000 per hectare.
